Terms of service
Last updated: 11 June 2026.
Who we are
Peak Play Academy(the “Academy”, “we”, “us”) provides badminton coaching, social sessions and related services in Australia. By creating an account, booking a session or purchasing a pack you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Accounts & families
- You must provide accurate details. Parents/guardians may manage bookings and payments for their children through a family account and confirm they have authority to do so.
- A digital waiver must be accepted for each participant before coaching. Coaching may be refused where no waiver is in place.
Bookings, cancellations & waitlists
- Each class shows its cancellation cutoff before you confirm a booking. Cancel before the cutoff and your payment is returned (class credits back to your pack; wallet payments back to your wallet, per the policy shown at booking).
- Cancelling after the cutoff, or not attending, may forfeit the session fee — your seat was held and may have prevented another member from attending.
- Waitlisted bookings are confirmed automatically when a spot opens; we notify you in the app and by email. A waitlisted booking that never converts is always refunded in full.
- If we cancel a session (e.g. coach illness or venue closure), you are refunded in full: credits back to your pack, wallet/desk payments to your wallet, and card payments back to your card.
Payments, packs & wallet
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in Australian dollars; where GST applies it is included and a tax invoice is issued.
- Class packs and term passes are valid for the period shown at purchase and stop being usable once expired. Unused credits on a cancelled pack may be refunded at the Academy's discretion — ask at the desk.
- Wallet balances are prepayments for Academy services, are not a bank deposit, do not earn interest, and are redeemable for services (or refundable on account closure where required by law).
- Unpaid casual sessions are invoiced after the class with 7-day payment terms.
Conduct & safety
- Follow coach and venue instructions. We may decline or cancel the participation of anyone behaving unsafely or abusively, with any unused payments refunded.
- Tell us about medical conditions relevant to participation — administrators handle these per the privacy policy.
Liability
Badminton involves inherent physical risks. To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose consumer guarantees are not excluded), we are not liable for personal injury or loss of belongings except where caused by our negligence. First aid may be administered where required.
Changes & player
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app. Questions? Player ydu018@gmail.com.
